A Tribute to Vince Bazzachinni
(click on thumbnail photos to enlarge)
The man gained his wings and halo long before he left us. But
what an unmatched example of true unionism and leadership. - Lu
Slaten
Vinnie will be missed
greatly by his family and friends but the working class will
miss Vinnie even more. Vinnie walked the talk when it came
to representing working people in need of help. - Tom
Pedersen
I
meet Vince when we walked the picket line at MSP for
a strike at Continental when LL1833 was asked for
volunteers. It was a day I will not forget. We meet
at the ATO and walked the line outside door 1, it
was very cold and Vince showed concern that neither
of us get too much exposure to the weather (a true
gentleman), we talked a lot and learned many things
about each other. He never let me forget I told him
my secret vice I have 35 pairs of black pumps. He
is the man I used to measured any man I let into my
life. I'm single, as the standard he set was so
high very few can measure up. -K. Alana Werbowski

"Enough is Enough"
Transportation Day of Action May 17, 2007
Airlines dumped more than $12 billion in pensions on the federal
government. There are still more than a hundred thousand airline
workers without real retirement security. Today we begin our
search for a President who will work with transportation labor
to provide the secure jobs, pensions and benefits workers
deserve.
